St. Feuillien Blonde

Come in and enjoy a Belgian Strong Ale for the spring season. St. Feuillien introduces their Blonde beer at The Ginger Man; the only bar in Manhattan to serve this golden, slightly bitter, refreshingly malty beer. Cheers!

Distilled Beer!
Sunday, 07 December 2008

From our friends at B. United International comes an exciting addition to The Ginger Man's already expansive menu.

Distilled Aventinus

Edelster Aventinus in its distilled form maintains its beautiful banana and dark strawberry nose combined with black peppery hop spice and hints of basil and clove. Its smooth, sticky mouthfeel compliments the fruity malt sweetness (strawberry/pear/banana becoming vanilla) in perfect balance with the acidity and black-pepper bitterness.

Kiuchi No-Shizuku

English translation: first drip from the distillation kettlle by Kiuchi Brewery

Hitachino Nest White Ale is distilled down to an alcohol content of 30% by volume. It is then matured in oak barrels with the addition of coriander, hops, and orange peel for one month.

More Hitachino Nest White Ale is added, and the product is distilled again to an alcohol content of 50% by volume. After the second distillation Kiuchi No Shizuku is matured in oak barrels for six months.

Finally, it is filtered and bottled at a final 43% ABV (86 Proof).
